99 Nights in the Forest is a survival-horror experience on Roblox that challenges players to endure the dangers of a mysterious forest while searching for four missing children.

Once darkness arrives, the forest becomes considerably more dangerous, with hostile creatures and enemy groups appearing around the map.
Among the threats players can encounter are the frightening Deer, hostile Cultists, Wolves, Bears, and other dangerous entities. Good resource management and preparation are essential because surviving longer requires players to balance exploration with keeping their base supplied and protected.
Rescuing a missing child can also reduce the number of nights required to complete the challenge, giving players an important objective beyond simply surviving.
How the Game Developed
The experience reportedly began as a week-long game-jam project in March 2025. Its creators were three developers from New Zealand who had previously connected through a Roblox war-clan RPG community.
What started as a small development project eventually grew into a major Roblox survival title. At its peak, the game reportedly reached approximately 14 million concurrent players, an enormous audience for a Roblox experience and roughly twice New Zealand’s population.
